Dr James Cooper

Qualifying in 2011 from Newcastle University, James has worked in general practice ever since. In 2020, he took ownership of Langdale Dental, driven by a commitment to delivering exceptional dental care within a contemporary and safe clinical setting.

Since then, James has developed a keen interest in orthodontics and cosmetic dentistry, undertaking extensive postgraduate training to refine his expertise in these areas. This advanced training has enabled him to offer a wide range of treatments, including both fixed and removable braces, to enhance his patients' smiles with precision and care.

Mr Adam Cooper

Director & Managing Partner

Adam is James' partner and plays a pivotal role within Langdale Dental. He oversees all non-clinical aspects of the practice, with a particular focus on both day-to-day and wider strategic operations.

Adam holds a BSc in Psychology from the University of Leeds and is also a certified programme management professional. He brings a wealth of experience from his extensive career, having held senior positions in both clinical and non-clinical settings, including within NHS England.

Dr Aileen Shum

Associate Dentist · GDC 69406

Qualifying in 1993 from the University of Sheffield, Aileen has since established a robust career in general practice. She possesses a keen interest in oral surgery and dental implantology and has completed further postgraduate training to enhance her ability to offer advanced treatments in these fields.

Additionally, Aileen is bilingual and is pleased to accommodate private patients seeking a Chinese-speaking dentist.

Dr Rosie Petch

Qualifying in 2014 from Newcastle University, Rosie has since dedicated her career to general practice. She has developed a particular interest in restorative and cosmetic dentistry and is currently pursuing further training in these areas to enhance her expertise.

In addition to her dental qualifications, Rosie holds a prestigious Level 7 Certificate in Injectables for Aesthetic Medicine, and she is recognised as a UK Top 10 provider of ZO® Skin Health products. Rosie is passionate about helping her patients achieve skin confidence and finds great fulfilment in her work in aesthetic medicine.

Dr Steph Blain

Steph qualified from Newcastle University in 2011 and has since developed extensive experience in general dental practice. Alongside her clinical work, she has undertaken further training in facial aesthetics and complementary therapies, enabling her to provide a broader range of services, including NAD+ intravenous therapy.

Steph also holds a part-time role supporting the education and development of overseas-qualified dental professionals, as well as clinicians returning to practice.

Dr Chris Fuzzard

Chris obtained his qualification from the University of Leeds in 1999 and has worked in general practice ever since. In 2023, he joined Langdale Dental following the acquisition of Skyrack Dental earlier in the year.

Dr Laura Reynolds

Qualifying in 2016 from Newcastle University, Laura has since developed a strong passion for paediatric dentistry. She currently divides her time between general practice and pursuing specialised postgraduate training at Leeds Dental Institute, part of Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

Miss Gaynor Redshaw

Gaynor qualified from the University of Leeds in 2008 and joined Langdale Dental in 2023. She provides professional dental hygiene care with a focus on supporting long-term oral health and disease prevention. Gaynor also welcomes direct access patients, including those seeking a one-off hygiene appointment.

Miss Brenda Myers

Brenda is a highly experienced member of the Langdale Dental team, with over 40 years of extensive industry experience spanning dental nursing, front-of-house operations, and compliance management. Currently serving as the practice manager, Brenda oversees the day-to-day operational management of the practice, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
